THE IMAX EXPERIENCE grabs your senses. The picture’s bigger, higher, wider than your field of view. You’re no longer at the window peeking out; you’re outside among the stars. And that sensation is intensified by the sound. You don’t just hear and see an IMAX movie. You feel it in your bones.

The highest-resolution cameras in the world. Projection lights so bright you can see them from the moon. A sound system so precise you can hear a pin drop from across the room and know exactly where it fell. And every IMAX theatre is customized with our patented screen and seating design to ensure you’re always in the center of the action – no matter where you’re sitting.

IMAX DOCUMENTARIES are the films that millions of people remember from when they were growing up – and that millions more will remember tomorrow.  These are the movies that take you to the bottom of the seas, to the tops of mountains, into outer space; and surround you with the life of nature and the lives of nature’s creatures.  These are our documentaries – the films we make for museums, science centers and some of our iconic commercial destinations.

HOLLYWOOD FEATURES are the blockbuster movies the world has come to love.  These are the Harry Potters, the Batmans and Avatars. They’re the work of the most ambitious and accomplished filmmakers – Christopher Nolan and Brad Bird; James Cameron and J. J. Abrams – directors who increasingly insist that their studios make movies in IMAX. This is the heart of our business, the driver of our recent compound growth, as well as the mind-boggling, head-spinning, heart-breaking experiences that make IMAX.

Tickets can be purchased online, by telephone 952.431.IMAX (4629) or 1-877-660-IMAX (4629) or at their box office. They offer traditional IMAX films (45 minute to 1 hour documentaries) in both 2D and stunning IMAX 3D. They also show IMAX DMR remastered Hollywood blockbusters played in the most advanced film format in the world.
